The Scourging At The Pillar

The Crowning With Thorns

 

We are perplexed and almost disheartened by picking thorns and preoccupations, as well as by all of the suffering caused by the misfortunes and sins of men; this suffering is the greater the more we love men. John XXIII

The Carrying Of The Cross

 

Every one of us must have his own cross to bear; otherwise, tempted by selfishness or cruelty, we should sooner or later fall by the roadside. John XXIII
